Lahore: The Punjab Assembly unanimously approved the resolution to express solidarity with Senator Azam Swati.
A meeting of the Punjab Assembly was held under the chairmanship of Speaker Sabatin Khan, in which Member of Assembly Ali Afzal Sahi presented a resolution to express solidarity with Senator Azam Swati.
In the resolution, it was written that Azam Swati was illegally arrested in the dark of night at the behest of the imported government, breaking the mountain of state oppression, which continues.
Ali Afzal Sahi said in the text of the resolution that freedom of expression is the basic component of any civilized society and the Constitution of Pakistan also allows it.
The Speaker of the Assembly gave permission to the Member of the Assembly to present the resolution, which was unanimously approved by the members. Later he adjourned the meeting.
