Dubai: The fifth edition of the Ramadan Online Art Auction took place from March 5 to March 9, 2025, uniting art lovers and philanthropists in support of free healthcare at Pakistan Medical Centre (PMC). Organized by Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD) in collaboration with Poetic Strokes, the online auction attracted bidders from around the world, transforming art into a force for social good.
Chairperson of the PMC Executive Committee, Mr. Muhsin Al Banna, highlighted the impact of the initiative, stating, “Every bid wasn’t just for an artwork – it was a testament to the spirit of our ever-compassionate community. In 2024 alone, 65% of PMC’s patients received free treatment, and thanks to the generosity of our community, we can expand our services to help even more people in need.”
PAD General Secretary, Mr. Zahid Hassan, expressed his appreciation for the overwhelming support. “The Ramadan Art Auction has become a cherished tradition for us. This year once again demonstrated the collective strength of our community. We are grateful to every artist, donor, and supporter who contributed to making this event a success.”
Ayesha Imtiaz from Poetic Strokes, a key collaborator for the exhibition, also shared her gratitude. “It’s always an honour to be part of the Ramadan Art Auction, and this year was no exception. We witnessed incredible generosity from bidders who not only valued the art but also believed in the cause. The collection featured a diverse range of artworks, including calligraphy, landscapes, and abstracts, showcasing the immense talent of Pakistani artists. Seeing so many pieces find new homes while supporting free healthcare made this a deeply fulfilling experience.”
The auction concluded with a Gratitude Iftar on March 9, 2025, which brought together over 350 supporters of PMC, community leaders, and dignitaries. The gathering honoured those who contribute to PMC’s pioneering work. Since its inception in 2020, PMC – a project of PAD and the GCC’s first not-for-profit healthcare facility – has impacted over 110,000 individuals from more than 92 nationalities.
