Rasheed’s petition dismissed against 72 members of cabinet

Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court rejected the plea of ​​former Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed against the formation of the 72-member federal cabinet.

The court declared Sheikh Rasheed’s petition inadmissible and said in the order that it is ironic that political leaders prefer to come to court instead of settling political disputes in parliament.

The written order said that this trend has undermined the dignity, sanctity and image of Parliament, besides dragging the courts unnecessarily into disputes of a political nature.

It is the duty of the elected representatives to strengthen the Parliament and maintain its supremacy and sanctity.

The court said that it is not in the public interest to bring political disputes before constitutional courts, it is necessary to discourage them.
