RMU Golden Jubilee celebrated with special ceremony

DUBAI: The Golden Jubilee of the Rawalpindi Medical University (RMU) was celebrated with a special ceremony at the Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD).

The event was organised by Dr Syed Hasnain Ali Johar, Chief Organiser and Chief Coordinator Rawalians MENA Chapter (RMU), along with Dr Amir Rizwan, Dr Gulfraz Khan, Dr Jamshed Khan, Dr Ghulam Mustafa, Dr Faraz and team.

Vice Chancellor of Rawalpindi Medical University Prof Dr Muhammad Umar (Sitara-i-Imtiaz) was the chief guest on the occasion.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, PAD President Dr Faisal Ikram, Doctors Wing President Dr Zafar Akhund, President (Chinar Wing) Raja Amjad, UAE Journalist Forum President Tahir, Raja Asad, Sibte Arif, Mudassar, Hafiz A Rauf, Ashfaq Ahmed, Khalid Mahmood, Sadia Abbasi, former vice chancellor of Punjab University Prof Zafar Moin, Rawalians Arabia Qatar President Dr Ghulam Mustafa, Dr Shafqat, university professors, Pakistani consulate officials, doctors, healthcare providers and healthcare professionals attended the celebrations.

Speaking on the occasion, RMU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Umar said that Rawalpindi Medical University is among the top 10 universities of Pakistan according to the recent rankings of the Higher Education Commission.

“It is a great honour to be included in the top universities in Pakistan,” he said. “RMU strives to provide quality medical education in which faculty members, doctors and professors play a key role.”

He paid tribute to the services of Dr Syed Hasnain Ali Johar and his entire team along with leading international and UAE medical healthcare organisations and healthcare professionals.

Other speakers on the occasion included Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Prof Syed Hasnain Ali Johar, Dr Amir Rizwan, Prof Dr Zafar, Care Cloud Director Ali Shaukat, Syed Fakhar Hasnain Shah, Zaeem and others.

The speakers were of the view that the quality faculty has worked hard over the years to make RMU a recognised institute of excellence in medical education while the university’s alumni have also achieved many notable achievements.

This is a testament to RMU’s continued dedication and vision to provide quality healthcare education, they said.

The speakers appreciated the growth of RMU and the support of Rawalian alumni from around the world and hoped that the university will become the world’s best.

RMU alumni honoured doctors with outstanding services. Health professionals were presented with trophies and medals.

The organisers thanked golden sponsors Care Cloud and Medi Family Polyclinic for their support for the RMU Golden Jubilee event.
