Rawalpindi: Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that Pakistan values the role of the Emirates in global and regional affairs.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al Zabi, met the Army Chief at GHQ. The meeting discussed issues of mutual interest, bilateral defense and security cooperation and regional security. The situation was discussed.
The Army Chief said that Pakistan values the role of the Emirates in global and regional affairs, we are looking forward to expanding our bilateral relations.
The Army Chief expressed hope for the speedy recovery of the victims and appreciated the extraordinary assistance provided by the UAE government to the flood victims.
The two sides agreed to further enhance friendly relations and sustainable strategic partnership.
On this occasion, the guest ambassador also appreciated the efforts of Pakistan for regional stability, the ambassador pledged to play his role for further improvement of diplomatic cooperation with Pakistan at all levels.
