ISLAMABAD: Mrs. Razia Sultana Khan announced the opening of the S.M.R.K Hemodialysis Centre in Rawalpindi.
This new healthcare facility marks the inaugural project of the
“Our mission is to provide quality dialysis care and essential health services to residents of Basal, Jand, and neighbouring rural communities who urgently require them,” Mrs. Razia Sultana Khan said.
On August 14, 2022, Sardar Mumtaz Khan laid the foundation stone for the S.M.R.K Hospital alongside family, friends, local dignitaries, and community leaders. He passionately shared his commitment to providing healthcare access to those often overlooked, specifically in the Jand-Basal region. Whilst hospital project in his native area is still a priority, unfortunately it has been delayed due to unforeseen legal issues. In order to avoid further delay in providing healthcare to those in need, a Rawalpindi branch has been setup at a convenient location.
“We created the S.M.R.K Welfare Foundation to fulfill his dream of improving healthcare accessibility. Today I am honoured to witness this first project come to fruition. The centre is led by Brigadier (retired) Dr. Prof. Umair Ahmed Siddiqui, a renowned nephrologist and expert in dialysis treatment. Adhering to guidelines from the Healthcare Regulatory Authority, the centre will provide quality, lifesaving dialysis care on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring equitable access for all,” she said.
“On this auspicious occasion, I ask for your prayers for my beloved husband, Sardar Mumtaz Khan, and for the ongoing success of the S.M.R.K Welfare Foundation as we carry his vision forward,” she added.
