Saudi Land Forces Commander Meets Pakistan Field Marshal Asim Munir

Both sides reaffirm resolve to deepen defence cooperation and strengthen longstanding military ties.

RAWALPINDI:  Lieutenant General Fahad Bin Saud Al-Johani, Commander of the Royal Saudi Land Forces, met Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, at General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi on Wednesday.

The meeting focused on matters of mutual interest, regional security, and expanding avenues of bilateral defence cooperation. Both sides reiterated their commitment to further deepening the historic and brotherly relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia’s armed forces.

Field Marshal Asim Munir expressed satisfaction with the strong defence collaboration between the two countries, highlighting the importance of sustained cooperation in training, capacity building, and intelligence sharing. Lieutenant General Al-Johani praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Army and acknowledged Pakistan’s positive contributions toward regional peace and stability.

Upon his arrival at GHQ, the Saudi commander was presented with a Guard of Honour, marking the significance of the high-level visit.
