Islamabad:State Bank has released a commemorative bank note of Rs 75 on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the independence of Pakistan.
This commemorative currency note will be available to the public from SBPBSC offices and commercial bank branches from today.
This commemorative note has the status of legal tender under Section 25 of the SBP Act, 1956 and can be used in business transactions across Pakistan.
This is the second commemorative bank note issued by State Bank. State Bank had issued the first commemorative note in 1997 on the completion of fifty years of independence of the country.
The themes and concepts for the obverse and reverse side of this currency note have been created by State Bank and local artists.
This commemorative currency note is a tribute to the leaders who played an important role in the establishment of Pakistan.
The front side of the bank note is decorated with pictures of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Sir Muhammad Iqbal, Ms. Fatima Jinnah and Sir Syed Ahmed Khan. While the reverse side of this commemorative currency note highlights our national commitment to climate change and its impact on Pakistan.
