Islamabad: The Supreme Court has acquitted all the accused including the accused Shahrukh Jatoi in the Shahzeb murder case.
A three-member bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Justice Ejaz-ul-Ahsan, heard the case.
Latif Khosa, the lawyer of the accused, said that the parties had already reached an agreement, the accused had no intention of spreading terror, and the incident of a murder was given the color of terrorism.
The trial court sentenced Shahrukh Jatoi and Nawab Siraj Talpur to death while Nawab Sajjad Ghulam Murtaza was sentenced to life imprisonment.
The Sindh High Court reversed the decision of the trial court and sentenced the four accused to life imprisonment under the ATA. The accused filed appeals against the life imprisonment in the Supreme Court, from which they were acquitted.
