Rawalpindi: In two separate operations, Pakistani security forces conducted successful missions in South and North Waziristan, resulting in the elimination of six terrorists. However, the victories came at a heavy cost, with four soldiers making the ultimate sacrifice during the exchange of fire.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the first operation unfolded in the Ghorum area of North Waziristan, while the second took place in the Asman Manza area of South Waziristan.
Notorious Terrorist Commander Eliminated
During the operation in North Waziristan, security forces engaged in an intense firefight with terrorists, ultimately tracking down and neutralizing six of them. Notably, among the deceased was the notorious terrorist commander Hazrat Zaman, who had been involved in numerous acts of terrorism.
The operations were not without sacrifice, as four soldiers displayed exceptional bravery but laid down their lives during the exchange of fire. These brave soldiers were identified as Lance Naik Tabassum ul Haq, Sepoy Naeem Akhtar, Sepoy Abdul Hameed, and Sepoy Farman Ali.
Soldiers Who Made the Ultimate Sacrifice
- Lance Naik Tabassum ul Haq, aged 36, hailed from Rawalpindi district.
- Sepoy Naeem Akhtar, aged 30, hailed from Attock district.
- Sepoy Abdul Hameed, aged 23.
- Sepoy Farman Ali, aged 25, hailed from Kashmor district.

The Pakistan army has restated its unwavering commitment to eliminate terrorism from the region. In an official statement, they emphasized, “Our brave soldiers’ sacrifices only strengthen our resolve to eradicate the curse of terrorism from our land.
