Rawalpindi: The Security Forces while in an intelligence-based operation in the area of South Waziristan, killed 8 terrorists including a commander.
According to the Inter-Services of Public Relations (ISPR), an officer was also martyred in the clash with the terrorists. According to ISPR, the security forces conducted an intelligence operation in Shinwarsk district of South Waziristan.
According to ISPR, there was a fierce exchange of fire between the security forces and the terrorists, the security forces killed 8 terrorists including Commander Jan Muhammad alias Chirag.
According to ISPR, arms, and ammunition were also recovered from the slain terrorists while the slain terrorists were active in operations against security forces and the killing of innocent civilians.
Apart from this, 31-year-old soldier Hamid Rasool Umar was martyred while four officers were injured in the fierce exchange of fire.
