SHARJAH: As an implementation of the wise directives of HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and within the concerns to support the economic climate in the emirate, Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD), in cooperation with Sharjah Foundation for Supporting Entrepreneurship (RUWAD), announced the provision of new advantages and privileges for ‘Eitimad’ license owners.
These privileges include providing the necessary consultations to ‘Eitimad’ owners, giving them the opportunity to participate in training courses, and to participate in exhibitions and events organised by SEDD and the Foundation, in addition to providing services and facilities for selling and marketing their products. These facilities come from the Department’s keenness to provide all services, overcome obstacles, and create a stimulating environment that contributes to the growth of the economic sector in Sharjah and to maintain its quality and sustainability.
Commenting on that, HE Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, SEDD Chairman, illustrated that the Department works according to the wise vision of Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and HH Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Executive Council, that seeks to help young citizens to join the markets and conduct economic work as well as to support their businesses, initiatives and idea. This will help to promote the economic position in Sharjah and lead such projects and ideas to success.
Likely, SEDD is constantly striving to provide all the facilities and benefits that would contribute to the success of their projects and enhance their participation in the economic growth of the emirate.
Furthermore, Al Suwaidi stressed that SEDD attaches importance to regulating the practice of domestic commercial work, activating the participation of male and female citizens in the activities of the economic sector, and supporting their ideas and initiatives to invest in private projects. Also, he pointed that ‘Eitimad’ license contributes to opening new fields and roles for the citizens of the emirate, urging them to creativity and developing skills, guaranteeing the intellectual and economic rights of project owners, and providing support to raise the commercial and promotional level of activity.
On the other hand, HE Hamad Al Mahmoud, Managing Director of ‘RUWAD’ Foundation, said that the Foundation is permanently working on providing additional benefits and incentives to Emirati entrepreneurs and enable them to support their businesses, develop
their projects and enhance their competitiveness. Also, he pointed out that the Foundation offers a package of training services, solutions, and specialised financial, technical and legal advice to ‘Eitimad’ license holders, and involving them in events and exhibitions is a top priority for the Foundation’s work, to ensure the support of national entrepreneurs to launch their projects easily and achieve sustainable successes.
Moreover, Al Mahmoud emphasised that the Foundation focuses on supporting and motivating entrepreneurship projects as well as offering facilities for owners of home licenses in the emirate of Sharjah. This is done to enhance the capabilities of citizens and enable them to succeed in their projects and to qualify the next generation of them in a way that helps them to excel and be creative with their pioneering projects in the present and the future.
From his side, Ahmed Said bin Saed Al Suwaidi confirmed that the benefits offered to owners of home ‘Eitimad’ licenses provide special privileges to their holders. These benefits included holding annual exhibitions for license holders, providing educational courses and training
services, incubating, developing and following-up projects, promoting and marketing small and medium enterprises, and supporting member projects to obtain a commercial franchise opportunity.
Likewise, Al Suwaidi pointed out that ‘Eitimad’ license works to preserve the rights of merchants and their trade names affiliated with their projects and to preserve the goods, products and services they provide within an official framework that enables them to avoid fraud, fraud and imitation of the name, trade logo and exclusive products of some projects with qualitative ideas. Such thing qualifies it for the commercial franchise, which is distinguished commercial services for the merchants of this household category, as it is a legal commercial license issued for a nominal fee to any citizen residing in Sharjah.
