ISLAMABAD: Senator Irfan Siddiqui has urged politicians to address national issues through dialogue and negotiations.
Talking to a news channel, the senator said all problems should be resolved through talks and “there should be no room for derogatory and false allegations in politics”.
He was also of the view that state institutions should be kept away from politics and political opponents should not be subjected to vendettas or involved in politically motivated cases.
Senator Irfan Siddiqui said he regretted how Fawad Chaudhry was treated and despite their differences, he was dejected to see the senior PTI leader in handcuffs on television.
Fawad Chaudhry has been arrested in a sedition case filed against him for allegedly threatening members of the Election Commission of Pakistan.
Speaking about the elections for Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assemblies, the PMLN leader said the polls will be held in accordance with the Constitution of Pakistan.
