Lahore: Governor Punjab Baligh-ur-Rehman called the assembly meeting on Wednesday and directed Chief Minister Pervez Elahi to get a vote of confidence from the members.
According to Leading News, an order has been issued under the signature of Governor Punjab Balighur Rehman, in which the Governor has said that under Article 130 (7) of the Constitution, I call for a meeting of the Punjab Assembly on Wednesday, December 21 at 4 pm. Take the vote of confidence in the Chief Minister.
According to the decree, there is a very small numerical difference between the government coalition and the opposition coalition in the House of Punjab Assembly.
The order further states that on December 17, the Chief Minister criticized Imran Khan in an interview for his comments against the former army chief. This statement of the Chief Minister was against the party policy of PTI. On which 2 members resigned, Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said in a TV interview on December 4 that he will not dissolve the assembly until next March. Sardar Hasnain Bahadur Dareshk, a member of the cabinet, had a bitter speech during the cabinet meeting, after which he resigned.
In the order issued by the Governor, it is further stated that it is also a sign of differences that the Chief Minister included a member of the Punjab Assembly Khyal Ahmed in the cabinet, but the PTI Chairman expressed ignorance about it, due to which the two parties The differences are obvious.
According to the Governor of Punjab, there have been serious differences between the two government coalition parties regarding political strategy, dissolution of the assembly, development schemes and transfer of government officials for the past few weeks.
The order further states that since many days it has been circulating in the print and electronic media that Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi has lost the trust of his party president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and his party members.
