Sharjah Digital Department Honours 15 Graduates of the “Data and AI Mastery Programme”

SHARJAH: The Sharjah Digital Department has celebrated the graduation of 15 government employees from its “Data and AI Mastery Programme”, launched in September 2025 in collaboration with PwC Academy.

The ceremony marked the completion of the programme’s first cohort and was attended by Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Lamia Al Hosan Al Shamsi, and representatives from PwC Academy and participating government entities.

During the event, graduates presented three sets of projects addressing key areas including social development, urban infrastructure and smart city management, as well as security, economy and natural resources. Officials said the projects reflected Sharjah’s commitment to strengthening a data-driven culture and supporting sustainable digital transformation.

Speaking at the ceremony, Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi said the programme demonstrated the department’s focus on developing national talent capable of leading future digital integration. He added that the projects presented practical applications of artificial intelligence and data analytics to improve government performance and community well-being.

The department also acknowledged the role of its partners and trainers in building digital capabilities within government institutions.

PwC Academy Middle East partner Taimur Ali said the initiative supports long-term digital transformation by equipping participants with practical data and AI skills to enhance government services.

The programme was launched on September 8, 2025, to address the growing need for advanced digital skills across Sharjah’s government sector. It combined theoretical learning with practical workshops, enabling participants to develop data-driven solutions to improve institutional efficiency and public services.
