DUBAI: Sheikh Awad Mohammed bin Sheikh Mejren said that he was “pleasantly surprised” after attending the China HomeLife Dubai exhibition.
The 14th edition of the China HomeLife Dubai was held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from June 13-15. Sheikh Awad graced the opening day of the exhibition.
Members of the Chinese delegation paid a visit to Sheikh Awad at the conclusion of the exhibition.
Sheikh Awad said that he had the impression that China HomeLife exhibition was a small event, “but when I visited the show, I was pleasantly surprised to see the scale on which it was being organised”.
“I was very happy that I had the opportunity to visit and explore the exhibition again and again,” he said while talking to the Chinese delegation.
Sheikh Awad said that the China HomeLife Dubai exhibition was an important event as “it will open doors of business for the Middle East” and will give a boost to investment and the overall economy of the region.
He said that the dynamic and forward-looking thinking of the leadership of the United Arab Emirates has opened the way for the whole world. “Businesses and businessmen from all over the world come here to do business. There are numerous opportunities for them here,” Sheikh Awad said.
“Why do people come here?” the Sheikh asked, before answering it himself: “It is an open economy.”
Sheikh Awad said that the United Arab Emirates and China have always enjoyed good ties. “China and UAE business relations are very strong and this expo will further strengthen these relations by generating more opportunities in the future,” he said.
Members of the Chinese business delegation expressed their gratitude to Sheikh Awad for his hospitality. They said that efforts would be made to further expand business avenues in the UAE.
