Sheikh Rasheed announces to contest by-election from NA-60

Rawalpindi: Awami Muslim League chief and former Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has announced to participate in the by-election from National Assembly Constituency NA-60.

According to leading news, former Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed was met by his family members in Adiala Jail, in which they discussed his health and by-elections.

In this meeting, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed signed the nomination papers as a candidate of Awami Muslim League from Constituency NA 60, which will be submitted to the Election Commission on Wednesday. Sheikh Rasheed will stand on the symbol of Dawat in the by-election.

Sheikh Rashid’s nephew and former member of the assembly Sheikh Rashid said that he will contest the election from NA-62 City constituency on the bat sign.

Talking to the family, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said that he will not leave Imran Khan’s side, if he does not get bail, he will sit in jail and contest the election.
