Islamabad: The District and Sessions Court has handed over Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed to Murree police for one day.
In front of Judicial Magistrate Riffat Mehmood, the hearing of the transit remand of Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed was held on behalf of Murree Police, in which Sheikh Rasheed’s handcuffs were opened in the courtroom on the court order.
During the hearing, Prosecutor Adnan, giving arguments on behalf of the police, said that Sheikh Rasheed was never presented before the court in Murree case. Before this court, there is only a transit remand case. We need a transit remand.
During the hearing, the lawyer presented his arguments on behalf of Sheikh Rashid, upon which the court reserved its decision on Murree Police’s request for the transit remand of Sheikh Rashid.
Later, the court gave a safe verdict and accepted the request of Murree police for remand and handed Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed over to Murree police for one day.
