Karachi: The famous American Time Magazine has included Pakistan’s Environment Minister Sherry Rehman among the 100 most influential people in the world for the year 2023.
According to a statement issued here, ‘Time Magazine’ released the list of the 100 most influential people of 2023.
The Time Magazine named Sherry Rehman among one of the 20 most influential leaders of 2023 along with US President Joe Biden, Japanese Prime Minister, German Chancellor Olaf Schulz, and the President of Brazil.
German State Secretary Jennifer Morgan has described Sherry Rehman as a leader who gave a voice to those who lost everything in the devastating floods of 2022.
The message added that COP 27 concluded with the historic decision that the international community agreed for the first time to establish a Damage and Disaster Fund for countries facing natural disasters.
According to Time magazine, this is a big step towards environmental justice but there is still a lot of work to be done, we will need more figures like Sherry Rehman.
