Shujaat suspended Parvez Elahi’s party membership

Lahore: Party President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has suspended Parvez Elahi’s party membership over his statement regarding the merger of Muslim League-Q into PTI.

President Muslim League Q Shujaat Hussain issued a show cause notice to Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, asking him for an explanation on the statement of merging Q League with Tehreek-e-Insaf, saying how the provincial president can merge the party with another party.

The show cause notice said that the provincial president cannot merge the party with any other party, you are requested to explain your unconstitutional and illegal action.

According to sources, Q-League cannot merge with PTI due to its registration in the name of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain. The Election Commission has reserved its decision on the issue of removing Chaudhry Shujaat from the party presidency.
