BARCELONA: Sunset Hospitality Group’s (SHG) international expansion was accelerated by the introduction of a new unique hotel, Cocana Resort by Social Living CollectionTM, while expanding its presence in Spain by partnering with Atom Hoteles SOCIMI in taking over Gran Hotel La Florida in Barcelona.
The last quarter of 2023 marked a remarkable expansion phase for SHG with the launch of Sunset Hotels & Resorts, with bold plans of developing, opening, and operating 20 new hotels in the next three years across Europe, Middle East, and Asia, with six hotels already in operations.
The Social Living CollectionTM is a bespoke selection of unique hotels and resorts situated around the world, striving to deliver refined experiences to modern jetsetters, setting the standards on social travel. The latest addition to the bespoke Social Living CollectionTM brand is Cocana Resort by Social Living CollectionTM. Situated on the shores of Gili Trawangan, Indonesia, this five-star luxury hotel is designed to be an escape for modern travelers craving understated luxury and is the first 5-star hotel in the destination.
Gran Hotel La Florida — currently part of The Leading Hotels of the World — is a luxury boutique hotel perched on Tibidabo’s Hill – a 20-minute drive from Barcelona’s city centre. SHG has taken over the management of the five-star luxury hotel and it will undergo a refurbishment, to be added to the Social Living CollectionTM, in time for the hotel celebrating its 100-year anniversary in 2025.
