Dubai: Sunset Hotels & Resorts, the lifestyle hotel division of Sunset Hospitality Group (SHG), has announced a new wave of openings as part of its global growth strategy, with flagship properties set to launch across Europe and Asia.
The expansion begins this month with the debut of METT Barcelona, following the full restoration of the city’s historic Gran Hotel La Florida. In October, SHG will unveil METT Singapore, housed in the heritage-listed Hotel Fort Canning. Both properties blend the METT brand’s contemporary luxury with the cultural identity of their landmark locations.
By December, the group will add METT Milan as part of the redevelopment of the iconic Torre Velasca, while early 2026 will see the launch of Casa METT Sitges in Spain, in partnership with AX Partners.

“Sunset Hotels & Resorts is advancing an ambitious long-term expansion strategy supported by a solid financial structure and a co-investment model,” said Jaime Buxó Clos, CEO of Sunset Hotels & Resorts. “These openings strengthen our presence in key global hubs while staying true to our vision of creating luxury experiences rooted in heritage, culture, and sustainability.”
Antonio Gonzalez, Chairman and Group CEO of SHG, described METT as a “cornerstone of the group’s expansion strategy,” adding that the brand “embodies the balance of lifestyle, culture, and contemporary luxury that defines Sunset Hospitality.”
Headquartered in Dubai, SHG operates more than 90 assets across 26 countries, spanning hotels, resorts, dining, beach clubs, nightlife, and wellness. Its diversified model positions the group as one of the fastest-growing players in international lifestyle hospitality.
