Swati sent to jail on judicial remand of 14 days

Islamabad: PTI leader Senator Azam Swati, who was arrested in the controversial tweet case, was sent to jail for 14 days on judicial remand by the local court of Islamabad. The court rejected FIA’s request for further physical remand.

According to Sources, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) produced Azam Swati in the court of Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Shabbir on completion of one-day physical remand.

During the hearing of the controversial tweet case, Azam Swati’s lawyer Babar Awan argued that Azam Swati’s request for further physical remand should be rejected.

Lawyer of Azam Swati said that the FIA ​​requested for 3 more days of physical remand, still the request is to export the tweet while forty articles have already been exported by the FIA, he added that I Can’t say anything, doctors won’t report either.

On this occasion, the public prosecutor said that Azam Swati has not surrendered his Twitter account yet.

After hearing the arguments of the lawyers, the court rejected the plea of ​​FIA for further physical remand and ordered Azam Swati to be sent to Judicial Pradiala Jail.

Azam Swati was transferred to Adiala Jail on the court order, where after completing his medical, the PTI leader was transferred to a cell from the jail hospital.

Sources say that Senator Azam Swati has been given better class (B class) facility in the jail.
