Senior politician Jahangir Khan Tareen announced the formation of a new political party — Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party — during the party’s first joint press conference in Islamabad.
He was flanked by former PTI leaders Imran Ismail, Aleem Khan and Ali Zaidi, among others during the press conference.
He said that I was not a traditional politician, but I came into the political arena late with the right goal, I joined Tehreek-e-Insaaf with the thought that we will get what Pakistan needs, that is why he struggled and worked day and night to strengthen PTI.
Jahangir Tareen said that in the coming days, such facts will come in front of you from which you will all know how much work we have done for PTI. We had always tried that PTI would win the elections with a clear majority and work for unity in the country, but it could not happen and people were upset.
He said that PTI’s job was to strengthen the economy and improve relations with the world, but this could not happen. We were always against attacks on political opponents, but PTI attacked military installations, damaged the memorials of the martyrs, if this crowd is not controlled then it will enter the houses and harass everyone.
He said that our democratic system can be strengthened only if the government and the opposition play a constitutional role. Jahangir Tareen said that “in the coming days, more people who have a lot of political influence in their constituency will join our convoy”.
The head of the party said that “Our party will be the party of the common people, we will also struggle to fulfill the teachings of Quaid-i-Azam and the dreams of Allama Iqbal”.
