DUBAI: Pakistan’s cultural sport of tent-pegging made a big splash in Dubai with players from Pakistan and other countries showing wonderful skills and receiving a lot of praise from fans.
As many as 17 teams from United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Oman, United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia participated in the tournament — organised by the UAE Tent Pegging Committee — and displayed excellent tent-pegging skills.
This traditional, thrilling sport attracted a lot of attention and interest from the crowd and the tournament is bound to highlight a positive image of Pakistan in the whole world.
Praising the facilities provided for the competition, event organiser Raja Usman Wajahat said that such international tournaments will also be organised in the future so that the players get opportunities to showcase their talent.
Team Dubai Police, Team Sultan and Team Sahara Stable performed brilliantly in the championship.
Media Director of NFL Raja Obaid also participated in the event.
