DUBAI: Pakistan’s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Faisal Niaz Tirmizi has aimed to increase the current bilateral trade between Pakistan and the UAE from $11 billion to $40 billion in future.
Speaking with The leading News in Dubai, the Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi showed his determination to push the trade volume between both the brotherly nations. He was special guest at the 51st UAE National Day ceremony arranged by Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD) in its magnificent auditorium.
Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi congratulated the UAE leadership and Emiratis on the 51st National Day and described the Emirati development as worthy of emulation.
Addressing the gathering, the envoy said that Pakistanis have played a significant role in the construction and development of the Emirates and there is a need to expand these relations further.
He invited the Emirati guests participating in the event to visit and invest in Pakistan and asked them to go and see for themselves the priceless and incredible tourist spots of Pakistan.
The Ambassador of Pakistan also congratulated the management of Pakistan Association Dubai for celebrating Emirati National Day and appreciated them for playing a key role in Pakistan-UAE friendship.
At the event, Community Development Authority in Dubai Chief Executive Officer Dr Omar Al-Muthanna lauded the remarkable role of Pakistanis in the UAE.
Dr Omar Al-Muthanna mentioned that the Emirates have been progressing under the principles of peaceful coexistence with a graceful blend of different cultures. He stated the UAE’s development is also a beacon for other nations.
He said that the UAE and Pakistan have had long-standing and close relations at the social, economic and cultural levels, as evidenced by the prompt response of the Emirati leadership and people during the recent floods in Pakistan. He said that the Emirati nation stands with Pakistani brothers in the hour of difficulty.
On the occasion, the Emirati personalities who served to strengthen the ties of friendship between the UAE and Pakistan were honored with awards by the Pakistan Association Dubai. Ambassador of Pakistan Faisal Tirmizi, Consul General Hasan Afzal Khan and President Pakistan Association Dubai Dr Faisal Ikram distributed the awards.
