Top military brass resolves to counter ‘inimical propaganda’

Rawalpindi: General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), led the 259th Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) at the General Headquarters (GHQ), reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to national security and honoring the sacrifices of heroes who have laid down their lives for the country.

During the conference, participants paid heartfelt tribute to the Shuhadas, which includes the brave officers, soldiers of the Armed Forces, Law Enforcement Agencies, and dedicated citizens who sacrificed their lives to safeguard Pakistan’s safety, security, and territorial integrity. Fateha was observed to honor the martyrs, and it was emphasized that the State of Pakistan and its Armed Forces will forever hold the Shuhadas and their families in the highest regard, perpetually honoring them with the utmost respect and dignity.

The nation’s united commemoration of Defence and Martyrs Day on September 6 was widely appreciated, and the Armed Forces expressed their gratitude to the proud nation for this gesture.

The conference participants echoed Pakistan Army’s unwavering determination to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the nation against all forms of direct and indirect threats.

It was emphasized that the attempts by propagandists to sow discord between state institutions and the public reflect their growing desperation and will ultimately lead to their own humiliation, God willing.

The participants were briefed on the current geo-strategic environment, the challenges to national security, and the evolving strategy to address these threats effectively.

The forum collectively resolved that all terrorists, along with their facilitators and supporters, who operate at the behest of hostile forces to destabilize Pakistan, will face the full force of the state.

Additionally, the conference highlighted the importance of accelerating economic development in the Newly Merged Districts (NMDs) and Border Districts of Balochistan to ensure sustainable peace and growth in these regions.

COAS General Syed Asim Munir stressed the significance of maintaining high standards of professionalism and motivation during operations, while also achieving excellence in the training of military formations. He commended the commanders for their unwavering focus on the well-being of their soldiers, as it forms the bedrock of the Army’s operational readiness.

Furthermore, the forum reiterated its commitment to wholeheartedly support ongoing efforts to boost socioeconomic growth through the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), while also assisting the government in curtailing illegal activities that undermine economic stability, growth, and investor confidence.
