Tosha Khana Reference; Trial against Imran begins in District Court

Islamabad: The trial court received the reference of the criminal proceedings against Chairman PTI in the Tosha Khana reference, after which the district court of Islamabad started the trial against Imran Khan.

According to the details, Additional Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal will hold the hearing tomorrow (November 22). District Court of Islamabad High Court has issued notices to Chairman PTI Imran Khan for tomorrow.

The Election Commission had sent the Tosha Khana reference to the District and Sessions Judge and the District Election Commissioner had asked in the complaint that the trial court should try Imran Khan for corrupt practices, Imran Khan had submitted false details of assets.

He said that under section 174 there is a punishment for submitting false details, the court should approve the complaint and punish Imran Khan under section 167 and 173. It should be noted that three years imprisonment and fine can be awarded under the above sections.

The Election Commission had ordered criminal action against Imran Khan in its decision and the Tosha Khana reference was sent under Sections 137, 170, 167 of the Election Act.
