A devastating accident near Mauripur Truck Adda has resulted in the loss of seven lives, including four children and three women, with an additional 30 individuals injured. The incident occurred when an overspeeding bus collided with a trailer truck, causing the bus to overturn, as confirmed by rescue officials.
The victims, all residents of Azizabad’s Bhangoria Goth area and belonging to the same family, have been identified as Sughra (40), Saadia (45), an unidentified 40-year-old woman, Sakina (6), Zeenat (4), Kinza (10), and Abdul Qadeer (14).
Emergency responders swiftly transported the deceased and injured to Civil Hospital Karachi for necessary medical procedures. Subsequently, the bodies were moved to Sohrab Goth mortuary under the supervision of hospital authorities.
Local police have taken immediate action, impounding both the trailer and bus involved in the tragic incident near Mauripur Truck Adda. Efforts are underway to locate and apprehend the driver of the trailer, who fled the scene following the collision.
Expressing grave concern, higher authorities have initiated inquiries into the accident, seeking comprehensive reports from the Karachi commissioner and police officials.

Mohammad Bashir, a relative of the victims, made an impassioned plea to Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah for specialized treatment for the critically injured individuals.
“It is imperative that the CM directs their transfer to a private hospital for urgent care,” Bashir emphasized, alongside his call for a thorough investigation to ensure accountability for the incident.
