UN demands investigation into death of PTI worker

Washington: The Deputy Spokesperson of the United Nations Secretary-General has demanded an investigation into the death of a PTI worker in Lahore.

He expressed concern over stopping the protest of PTI workers in Lahore and said that no obstacle should be placed in the right of peaceful protest.

He said that people worldwide have the right to peaceful protest and the security forces do not want to stop such protests. There should be a transparent investigation into the death in the Lahore incident.

He said that full justice should be given to the dead and injured in the incident, which calls for utmost restraint from the UN security agencies during the situation in Lahore.
