US authorities took notice over incident with Dar: FO

Islamabad: Foreign Office Spokesman Asim Iftikhar said regarding the unfortunate incident that happened with Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar at the American airport that the American authorities have taken notice of the incident.

After the weekly press briefing in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs made it clear in a statement that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs takes notice of the incidents that happened with Pakistani ministers. The Saudi authorities also took notice and action on the events that happened in Saudi Arabia.

Regarding the flood victims, he said that so far 200 dollars have been assured for the flood victims, 90 million dollars have been received in the treasury, the international community is helping Pakistan, China, America and Great Britain are giving 400 million dollars.

Prime Minister also highlighted Indian atrocities in Occupied Kashmir.

Foreign Office Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif participated in the important SICA Summit in Kazakhstan where he also highlighted Indian atrocities in Occupied Kashmir.

He said that the Prime Minister met the heads of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Belarus. The spokesperson of the Foreign Office said that the United Nations General Assembly has passed a resolution to help flood victims in Pakistan.

Asim Iftikhar said that Pakistan is deeply concerned about human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan strongly protests against the death of Hurriyat leader Altaf Hussain Shah in Indian custody, the German Foreign Minister’s statement on Occupied Kashmir is welcome.

He emphasized on the resolution of the Kashmir issue under the resolutions of the Security Council. He said that Pakistan has always been highlighting the Kashmir issue at international and regional forums, the Kashmir issue has been pending for 7 decades.
