Spanning nearly 150,000 square feet, the new facility is now the largest visa application centre in the world, offering unmatched capacity, technology, and customer-centric design.
The landmark centre was inaugurated by His Excellency Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General, Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism; His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General, General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai; and Mr. Zubin Karkaria, Founder and CEO of VFS Global Group.
“This milestone reflects Dubai’s strategic direction to enhance global mobility and advance the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33,” said H.E. Helal Saeed Almarri. “Visa facilitation is key to tourism, talent attraction, and international partnerships—crucial to Dubai’s future-ready positioning.

With a capacity to handle up to 10,000 applications per day, the centre caters to over 200 nationalities and is staffed by more than 400 trained professionals representing over 25 nationalities. The centre includes over 200 submission counters, including 79 Premium Lounge stations and exclusive Platinum Lounge services offering personalised, high-comfort experiences.

The Dubai centre is equipped with a state-of-the-art AI Innovation Hub offering real-time document validation, advanced biometrics, and a dedicated Digitization Centre for secure digital conversion. A Global Resilience Center (GRC) ensures 24/7 data security, operational continuity, and partner government support.

Smart queue management, e-token systems, and mobile updates ensure a smooth and efficient applicant journey—even at peak capacity—making the centre a global model of how technology can enhance secure and seamless travel.
