Zardari’s close friend Younis Qidwai surrenders in court

Islamabad: Asif Ali Zardari’s close friend Younis Qadwai surrendered before the Islamabad trial court in the fake bank account case.

According to Leading News, the trial court of the Islamabad High Court disposed of the protective bail application and a two-member bench headed by the Chief Justice issued a written decision.

It has been stated in the written judgment that according to the counsel for the petitioner, Younis Qadwai has surrendered to the trial court, after the surrender of the petitioner, the application for protective bail is disposed of.

Younis Qadwai has returned home from Canada and surrendered in the trial court, six references against Younis Qadwai were under hearing.

Under the NAB Amendment Act, three references have been returned to NAB, while three references against Younis Qadwai are under hearing in the accountability court, however, NAB has given a statement to the court that the arrest of Younis Qadwai is not required in the three references under hearing. That is why Yunus Qadai’s security bond was approved.
