Karachi: The clearance operation was completed after the terrorist attack on the Karachi Police Office located in Quaid’s City, during which four people including Rangers and policemen were martyred. Two terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire while one was killed by the explosion of a suicide jacket in the retaliatory action of the security forces.
According to police officials, during the clearance operation, four people including police and Rangers personnel were martyred, including a civilian sweeper, while 19 people including DSP SSU, 7 Rangers personnel, and one Edhi volunteer were injured.
According to police sources, terrorists entered the Karachi police office around 7:30 pm and started firing indiscriminately. After the incident, the area was sealed and the Faisal Highway was closed for general traffic while the electricity to the office was also switched off.
After the terrorists entered the police office, heavy firing took place along with several hand grenade explosions. After the attack of the terrorists, the officials fired back while also calling for reinforcements from other police stations and the officials were on the front line.

Later, police personnel, police commandos, Rangers and Pakistan Army troops arrived for the clearance operation and ended the occupation of the terrorists from the building with a coordinated strategy. Meanwhile, two terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire while one was killed due to the explosion of his suicide jacket.
