Multan: Multan Sultans defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 56 runs in Pakistan Super League 8.

In the fifth match of the league played at Multan Cricket Stadium, Peshawar Zalmi was bowled out for 154 runs in 18.5 overs.

On behalf of Peshawar Zalmi, Saeem Ayub scored 53 runs in 37 balls and Mohammad Haris scored 40 runs in 23 balls. Roman Powell was dismissed for 23, James Neesham for 12, and captain Babar Azam for 9 runs.

For Multan Sultans, Ehsanullah and Osama Mir took 3, 3 wickets, Abbas Afridi took 2 wickets and Carlos Braithwaite took 1 wicket.

Earlier, playing first on the invitation of Peshawar Zalmi, Multan Sultans scored 210 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

On behalf of Multan Sultans, Riley Russo stood out by playing a smoky inning of 75 runs off 36 balls. David Miller scored 23 and Kieron Pollard returned to the pavilion not out with 15 runs.

Captain Mohammad Rizwan scored 66 runs and Shaan Masood scored 20 runs.

On behalf of Peshawar Zalmi, Salman Irshad took 2 wickets while Sufyan Muqim took 1 wicket.
