Aliya Hamza, a prominent leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has filed a protective bail application with the Islamabad High Court (IHC) in connection with legal cases registered in Faisalabad and Sargodha. Hamza, represented by lawyers Khakan Mir and Ishtiaq A. Khan, has requested an expedited hearing for her application.
This development follows a recent ruling by an anti-terrorism court in Gujranwala, which acquitted Hamza in a case related to the May 9 incidents. Notably, neither Hamza nor her legal team attended the court session for this particular case.
