Rawalpindi: Secretary General of Muslim World League Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Isa has met with Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), issues of mutual interest, bilateral security cooperation, and regional peace and stability were discussed in the meeting with the secretary of the Muslim World League.
Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that the relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are based on brotherhood and mutual trust.
On this occasion, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Isa said that Pakistan has an important position in the Muslim world and it is playing an important role for peace and stability in the region.
On the other hand, Pakistan Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa also met the British High Commissioner, in which he pledged to play a role in increasing cooperation with Pakistan at all levels.
According to ISPR, the British High Commissioner Dr. Christian Turner appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for regional stability, expressed his sorrow over the destruction caused by the flood, and expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims.
The Chief of the Pakistan Army said in the meeting that we want to expand mutually beneficial relations based on common interests, Pakistan values the balanced role of Britain in regional affairs.
