Jeddah: The Saudi Motorsport Company was thrilled to welcome two A-List stars to the Jeddah Corniche Circuit – the world’s fastest and longest street circuit – when iconic DJ, record executive, record producer, rapper and social media titan, DJ Khaled and star of the record-breaking Fast & Furious movie franchise, Michelle Rodriguez, both visited the Formula 1 track on the banks of the Red Sea.
DJ Khaled, the mastermind behind some of the most popular songs in recent times, including I’m The One, Wild Thoughts and Higher, stopped by the Jeddah Corniche Circuit as part of a visit to the Kingdom where he was treated to a high-speed hot lap on the world’s most exciting street circuit, which has to date hosted two exhilarating Formula 1 races and is currently preparing to stage a third Grand Prix next March 17th – 19th. He also was able to inspect the various facilities around the stunning complex including the incredible paddock and pitlane buildings and the high-tech race control centre.
Furthermore, Fast & Furious star, Michelle Rodriguez, was also in Jeddah as part of the Red Sea International Film Festival which took place last week to great acclaim. The globally lauded film festival was first launched in 2019 and has since taken place every year in Jeddah, where it showcases the best in domestic, regional, and international filmmaking.
SMC, in partnership with The Luxury Network KSA, hosted a showstopping gala at the circuit for many of the most high-profile festival guests, including Michelle Rodriguez. Given her starring role in one of the most successful action movie franchises of all time, it was no surprise that Rodriguez was also excited to go for a test lap on the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, which has seen F1 drivers reach record average speeds of 252km/h – something the team at SMC helped to arrange for her during her visit.
The FORMULA 1 STC SAUDI ARABIAN GRAND PRIX will be returning to Jeddah, home of the world’s fastest street circuit, on the 17th-19th March 2023.
Saudi Arabia is one of the newest venues on the Formula 1 calendar, having hosted its debut race in December 2021 and its second race just 4 months later in March 2022. Both editions proved to be two of the most exciting races in recent memory, providing some of the most iconic and breath-taking moments of on-track action of their respective seasons, making Formula 1’s return on the weekend of March 17th -19th, 2023 unmissable!
