Pakistan’s Defence “Stronger Than Ever,” Says Information Minister Atta Tarar

Government cites unified military command and enhanced border security; warns against misinformation and unrest.

ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar has declared that Pakistan’s defence structure is now more robust than at any point in recent years, attributing the strengthened security posture to major organisational reforms within the armed forces.

Speaking to the media, Tarar said that a unified command system has been established across all branches of the military, improving coordination along both the eastern and western borders. “We have secured our frontiers, and the enemy will no longer dare to look toward us,” he stated, expressing confidence in the country’s enhanced military preparedness.

He criticised individuals running “false narrative” campaigns on social media, saying they should be ashamed for attempting to mislead the public. He stressed that such behaviour undermines national security and public trust.

Touching on domestic law and order, the minister cautioned PTI supporters against creating disturbances outside Adiala Jail. He said that anyone involved in violating jail protocols would be barred from meeting the PTI founder.

Tarar framed the recent developments as a continuation of Pakistan’s broader strategic progress, asserting that the country is now stronger both operationally and administratively.
