RAWALPINDI: Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces Saddam Khalifa Haftar called on Chief of the Naval Staff Naveed Ashraf at the Naval Headquarters in Islamabad, the Inter-Services Public Relations said on Friday.
According to ISPR, upon arrival at the Naval Headquarters, the Libyan military official was received by the Pakistan Navy chief.
During the meeting, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest, the evolving regional maritime security environment, and avenues to further enhance cooperation in defence and training.
Saddam Khalifa Haftar appreciated the role of Pakistan Navy in promoting regional peace and maritime security.
Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further expand and strengthen the existing bilateral defence relationship between Pakistan and Libya.
