ABU DHABI: Luxury retail at The Galleria Al Maryah Island is being redefined with the introduction of a same-day tailoring service that offers garment alterations in as little as three hours.
The service, launched through Stitch In Time in partnership with Aldar, is designed to align high-end fashion with faster turnaround times, reflecting changing expectations among luxury shoppers.
The initiative allows customers purchasing from brands such as Dior, Hermès, Prada and Elie Saab to have garments altered and ready for use on the same day.
Under the system, items are fitted in-store, then sent to a dedicated tailoring service where adjustments are completed within hours before being returned to the client.
The service reflects a broader shift in luxury retail toward immediacy and convenience, where clients expect not only craftsmanship but also speed.
According to the concept, customers can make purchases in the afternoon and wear them the same evening—removing traditional waiting periods associated with tailoring and adjustments.
For more complex alterations, a concierge-based system allows specialists to be called directly into boutiques, providing on-demand tailoring support within the retail environment.
The model is currently being rolled out across select luxury retailers, aiming to integrate craftsmanship with real-time service delivery.
The initiative signals how luxury shopping in Abu Dhabi is evolving beyond traditional retail experiences, combining personalization, speed and service efficiency.
With high-end shopping destinations like The Galleria positioning themselves as experience-driven hubs, the focus is increasingly on seamless service that adapts to customers’ schedules rather than the other way around.
