After Indus Motors, Pak Suzuki also shutdown its plant

Islamabad: After Indus Motors (Toyota), the largest motor vehicle company in Pakistan, Pak Suzuki has also closed its plant.

According to the statement of the company, the production plant will be closed from Monday, January 2nd to Friday, January 6th. However, the plant has been closed for 8 days unannounced due to weekly holidays on January 1st and January 7th and 8th.

In a statement issued by Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited, it was said that due to import restrictions, this is a very critical time for Pak Suzuki. Due to the uncertain situation regarding the future, it is not even known how long these restrictions will continue.

The company said that high level of demurrages and cabors are hurting our industry, our dealers and vendors are also very worried due to lack of sales and production respectively.

Government of Pakistan is requested to negotiate with the stakeholders of this industry to resolve this matter immediately. It should be noted that before Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited, Toyota Indus Motor Company Limited has completely closed its production plant till December 30.
