AIM Congress Launches First International Chapter in Shanghai to Strengthen Global Investment Cooperation

Landmark event highlights UAE-led initiative’s expansion and commitment to sustainable, innovation-driven growth.

Shanghai: The Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) Congress, the world’s leading platform for investment and economic cooperation, has launched its first-ever international chapter in Shanghai, China, marking a significant milestone in AIM’s global expansion.

Held under the theme “Deciphering the Intertwined Engines of Globalization: ‘From Going Out’ to ‘Going Up’,” the AIM Congress China Chapter brings together global policymakers, investors, and industry leaders to explore how economies can evolve through technology integration, sustainability, and investment-driven transformation.

The two-day forum features 85 distinguished speakers across 15 high-level sessions, attracting over 1,000 participants representing more than 150 nationalities. Topics include global investment trends, sustainable finance, and digital transformation shaping the future of business.

Key speakers at the event include H.E. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al-Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade; H.E. Raja Al Mazrouei, CEO of Etihad Credit Insurance; H.E. Omar Suwaina Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology; Pu Yapeng, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization; and Rae Kwon Chung, Nobel Laureate and Climate Change Ambassador.

In addition to its main sessions, AIM Congress China Chapter will host strategic partnership signings among major institutions, including the Beijing Chamber of International Commerce (BCIC), China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT Nanjing), E&P International, CargoX, Masdar City, and SIEF.

The launch of AIM’s China Chapter underscores the platform’s growing influence in driving global investment dialogue, fostering innovation, and strengthening economic cooperation between Asia, the Middle East, and beyond.
