AJK PM Emphasizes Strict Measures for Biometric Attendance

Mirpur: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq has affirmed a no-compromise stance on the biometric attendance of officers and employees, vowing strict action against violators. Speaking at a meeting with Mirpur divisional and district administrations, including police officers, late Thursday, the AJK PM directed authorities to ensure full attendance of employees in their offices.

Emphasizing the significance of punctuality and attendance across all levels, the Prime Minister stressed that these factors are crucial for establishing good governance in the state. He urged officers to maintain discipline, adhere to rules, and personally monitor the attendance of their subordinates three times a day.

Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq underscored that officers must fulfill their responsibilities, as their commitment sets the tone for their subordinates. He asserted that those receiving salaries from the public exchequer should dedicate their full time and energy to serving the people.

Addressing the move towards e-governance, the AJK PM highlighted the instrumental role of e-governance in ensuring transparency in government matters. He revealed that the government has saved 3 billion rupees through e-tendering in the Highways department alone, with plans to allocate the amount for public welfare.

In addition to the existing biometric system, the Prime Minister announced plans to introduce an e-filing system, further streamlining administrative processes. He urged departments with surplus vehicles to promptly deposit them in the transport pool, warning of consequences for non-compliance.

Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq’s directives reflect the government’s commitment to enhancing efficiency, transparency, and accountability in the administration while ensuring optimal utilization of public resources for the welfare of the people.
