Ajman Department of Finance wins two excellence awards

‘Play It Right!’ named Best Entertainment Programme, while ‘Ajman Mal Plus’ wins Best Specialised Programme by Government Entities

UAE: The Ajman Department of Finance has won two awards at the closing ceremony of ‘Our Happy Summer 2026’, recognising its efforts to develop innovative programmes combining financial awareness, entertainment and modern technology.

‘Play It Right!’ received the Best Entertainment Programme award, while ‘Ajman Mal Plus’ was recognised as the Best Specialised Programme by Government Entities. The awards were presented by Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi during the programme’s closing ceremony.

The recognition reflects the department’s focus on developing interactive awareness initiatives designed to make financial literacy more accessible and relevant to the community.

Through interactive activities and learning experiences, the programmes sought to translate financial concepts into practical knowledge and skills while providing participants with opportunities to engage, learn and develop future-ready capabilities.

‘Play It Right!’ was recognised for its interactive format, which combined games, physical activities, heritage elements and individual and group competitions. The programme encouraged teamwork and communication while incorporating aspects of Emirati heritage in a contemporary format aimed at strengthening family and community connections.

Meanwhile, ‘Ajman Mal Plus’ received the specialised programme award for integrating financial literacy, artificial intelligence and future-ready skills into an interactive learning experience.

The programme provided participants with opportunities to enhance their financial knowledge, explore emerging technologies and understand how such tools can support informed decision-making and future planning.

Director General of the Ajman Department of Finance Marwan Ahmed Al Ali said the two awards reflected the department’s commitment to developing innovative programmes that deliver value to the community.

He said combining knowledge, engagement and modern technologies remained a key element of the department’s efforts to strengthen financial literacy among younger generations and equip them with skills needed for the future.

“We are proud of this achievement, which reflects our commitment to delivering impactful initiatives that respond to the needs and aspirations of the community, enhance quality of life, and contribute to building a more aware and empowered society,” Al Ali said.

He added that the department would continue developing its programmes in line with the objectives of Ajman Vision 2030 and supporting the emirate’s sustainable development journey.

The department said the recognition also highlighted its continued efforts to promote financial literacy, encourage informed financial practices and expand its community impact while aligning its initiatives with the development priorities and strategic objectives of the Government of Ajman.
