UAE: The Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UAE Tourism Media Association to strengthen cooperation in tourism and cultural media.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of Arabian Travel Market 2026 and establishes a framework for collaboration between the two organisations across tourism, culture and media.
The MoU reflects the department’s efforts to strengthen strategic partnerships with national entities and public-benefit associations in the tourism and media sectors.
Under the agreement, the parties will work to enhance the visibility of Ajman’s tourism and cultural assets, heritage and history, while expanding media outreach in local and international markets.
Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi said the agreement reflected the department’s commitment to building institutional partnerships that strengthen Ajman’s position as a tourism and cultural destination.
He said cooperation with specialised tourism media would help expand the reach of Ajman’s tourism and cultural narratives, support the development of the national tourism sector and reinforce the emirate’s presence in regional and international markets.
UAE Tourism Media Association Chairman of the Board of Directors Hussain Al Mannaei said the MoU would strengthen the role of specialised tourism media in promoting the UAE’s tourism and cultural assets.
He said the agreement would also support professional communication channels, create opportunities for knowledge exchange and cooperation, and contribute to tourism development at the national level.
The areas of cooperation include joint media initiatives and content development, community-focused programmes and specialised training workshops for tourism media professionals.
The two sides will also exchange media and promotional content and other supporting materials under the agreement.
The partnership forms part of Ajman’s broader efforts to develop an integrated tourism, culture and media ecosystem through strategic cooperation, enhance destination visibility, strengthen sector capabilities and support sustainable tourism development.
