Lahore: The management committee of Pakistan Cricket Board has approved the appointment of foreign coaches, salary cut of PCB employees and disbanding of Pakistan Junior League.
Talking to the media at the National High Performance Center after the meeting of the Pakistan Cricket Board Management Committee, Najam Sethi said that the work has been started on conducting the PSL matches in Quetta. Well, I did not answer the former chairman’s accusations before, nor will I now.
He said that the appointment of foreign coaches for the national team has been approved, if they are held accountable for the previous period, it will be considered as revenge, HR Director Sarina Agha has resigned, we have accepted it.
Najam Sethi made it clear that he cannot afford the heavy salaries in PCB, he will reduce them necessarily, he has told the employees that those who do not accept the cut in salary should resign and go home.
He further said that homework has been started regarding PSL matches to be held in Quetta. The renovation work of Bugti Stadium has started. If the stadium is not ready by PSL, then an exhibition match between Hashawar and Quetta will be held at Bugti Stadium.
Najam Sethi clarified that the talk of Pakistan India Test matches in Australia is limited to the media, we have not been contacted formally, when someone talks to us, then we will think about what to do. So it will be beneficial.
Najam Sethi’s stand on the question of hosting the Asia Cup was that I have already talked about it being hosted by Pakistan and we will not back down from this position, we will convince other countries to come here. Play, Pakistan is scheduled to host the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025. Preparations and renovations are also underway for this.
