Army Chief directs military top brass to deny space to terrorists

Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, chaired the 264th Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) at GHQ.

The conference, a platform for strategic deliberations, solemnly honored the sacrifices of Shuhadas, encompassing the brave souls from the Armed Forces, Law Enforcement Agencies, and citizens, dedicated to upholding peace and stability.

Army Chief lauded the relentless efforts of Pakistan Army and LEAs in thwarting terrorist designs, neutralizing key figures, and ensuring the safety of the nation. Emphasizing proactive measures against terrorism, he affirmed the nation’s steadfast resolve to eradicate the menace.

Condemnation and Solidarity

The forum unequivocally condemned the recent terrorist attack on Chinese nationals in Besham and brutal killings in Balochistan. It underscored the threat posed by terrorist groups operating from Afghanistan, affecting regional security and economic interests, notably the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

Expressing deep concern over the situation in Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), the conference reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support to the Kashmiri people. Additionally, it stood in solidarity with Palestine, denouncing human rights violations in Gaza.

Regional Stability and Preparedness

Acknowledging the escalating tensions in the Middle East, the forum stressed the imperative of de-escalation to prevent wider conflict. It also addressed the pernicious propaganda targeting the Armed Forces, reaffirming resilience against such attempts.

COAS directed field commanders to uphold operational readiness and professionalism, ensuring the highest standards of training and motivation within their units.
