Ban on selling sacks of sugar without tax stamp

Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has banned sugar mills across the country from taking out sugar sacks without tax stamps from the warehouses of the mills against sugar mills selling sugar sacks without tax stamps. Crackdown has been started across the country.

According to the details, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has implemented track and trace stamp for tobacco as well as sugar sector, under which sugar mills across the country are banned from selling sugar without tax stamp and No sugar mill can remove the sacks of sugar produced from the sugar mills without tax stamp.

The Federal Board of Revenue has launched a nationwide crackdown against non-compliant sugar mills and has started monitoring sugar mills to ensure installation of tax stamps on sacks of sugar produced by sugar mills. Enforcement teams have also been formed and have started monitoring across the country.
