CIA center of Capital declared sub-jail to deal protestors

Islamabad: To deal with the protestors in the federal capital, the CIA building was declared a sub-jail, for which the Chief Commissioner also issued a notification.

Based on police reports of possible disturbance of peace in Islamabad, damage to public and private property in the name of protest and obstruction of normal traffic on major roads, the CIA building located at I-9 in Islamabad has been declared a sub-jail.

According to the notification, all those who create disturbance in the federal capital will be kept in jail. The order to declare the CIA building as a sub-jail has been implemented with immediate effect, which will remain in force until further notice.

According to the notification, it will be the responsibility of a grade seventeen officer of the Federal Police to compile the record of prisoners or extradited persons in Islamabad Sub Jail, while the services of the IG Jails, Assistant Jail Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent Jail Punjab have been provided. Yes Islamabad will be responsible for the security of the jail.

A senior officer of the Federal Police told Express that on the recommendation of IG Islamabad, the summary was sent to Chief Commissioner Islamabad Captain Retd Muhammad Usman. In which it was feared that an attempt will be made to block the important roads in the name of protest, in which the vans of the Federal Police will also face difficulty in transporting the accused from Islamabad Kachhari to Korawalpindi, so people who disturb the peace will face problems. Even in the case of arrests, bringing the extradits to Adiala Jail by covering a long distance can also become a big problem due to which the CIA building has been declared as a sub-jail.

To a question, he said that under the guise of protest, whoever blocks any road or tries to stop a citizen’s car, tries to stop the normal traffic on the roads, tries to damage public and private property, he will be punished. There will be no exception and will be dealt with under the zero tolerance policy.
